could anyone recommend any books about phonics? my little boy is 3 and i have been teaching him alphabet as in A-ah B-buh C-cuh, eh is for elephant etc and its just come to my attention that this isnt what they do in schools anymore is it? i dont want to teach him he way i learned and then him get to school and be confused? anyone shed any light on this situation?

No, no sarcasm, I'm genuinely interested. The Jolly Phonics link suggests that they teach the sounds rather than the letter names at first, but I wondered if they have changed this again. Will read the link now, thanks.
